Exploring Western Mongolia: A Nomadic Adventure Itinerary

Arrive at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (ULN airport code) at any time. Our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel in Ulaanbaatar. The evening will feature a group welcome dinner as we prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Embark on an early flight from Ulaanbaatar to Ulgii in western Mongolia. Upon arrival, we board Toyota Land Cruisers, heading to our nomadic family's home in the Ulaankhus region. Enjoy an overnight stay in a cozy Ger (yurt).

Immerse yourself in the nomadic lifestyle with our host family and an Eagle hunter, gearing up for the upcoming migration. Participate in loading equipment, experience Kazakh traditions, and capture intimate moments through photography. Overnight stay in a warm Ger (yurt).

(Migration-Day1) Start the migration from the winter shelter, walking alongside herders as they move towards the spring camp. Our ground team will set up ger tents for sleeping and dining each day. Capture the journey through photography, walking approximately 15-20 kilometers daily.

(Migration-Day2) Continue the migration towards Saina’s Tuvan ethnic group winter shelter.

(Migration-Day3) Follow the herdsman's early morning start towards "Buudal," where most migrators spend the night. Prepare for the challenging journey across a frozen lake and snowy high pass. Overnight stay in a warm Ger (yurt).

(Migration-Day4) Continue the morning migration, passing through the frozen lake "Khara-Kol." Enjoy a picnic on the frozen lake and overnight stay in a warm Ger (yurt).

(Migration-Day5) Reach the spring camp in the Dayan Lake region. The evening features a feast and celebration of the epic journey.

After a good rest, take advantage of the special prepared Ger (yurt) for a shower. Engage in portrait photography with the hunter. Overnight stay in a warm Ger (yurt).

Explore photography and fox hunting on nearby mountains. Witness the eagle hunters in action in the morning and attempt to capture wild animals like foxes. Afternoon drive back to Olgiy city, staying in a hotel.

Drive to Tolbo Lake for photography and witness "Ice Archery" on the lake. Overnight at the hotel in Olgiy.

Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Ulaanbaatar, concluding the nomadic adventure.

Participants should be reasonably fit, prepared for cold weather, and capable of walking 15-20 km per day. The experience is suitable for those with a positive mindset, able to endure long days, and comfortable with yurt accommodations.
Weather:
Expect below-freezing temperatures every day, with potential wind, snow, and ice. Proper clothing and layering will ensure warmth during physical activities.
Accommodations:
In Ulaanbaatar, stay at a 3-star hotel. During the migration, sleep in heated ger tents. In Ulgii, stay in a 3-star hotel with amenities. Showers are available in specially prepared Gers.
Food:
Enjoy a variety of local and international foods in Ulaanbaatar. Private chefs accompany us during the nomadic journey, catering to preferences and dietary requirements.
Transportation:
